All to often I have experienced this and watched people I love very much learn in this way. It is hard and frustrating, however the lessons I have learned that way have really stuck. The lessons and WISDOM I so often cling to in my life came through "experience" and sometimes hurtful experiences, from something very difficult and painful. One of my favorite songs is BLESSINGS by Laura Story , the song so beautifully describes how what we see as our biggest disappointments are sometimes Gods blessings in disguise.
